ABOUT US

 The YOXA FIT Studio was formerly known as Yogabodi which was founded by Lorraine Harkins in 2016. The small friendly Yogabodi studio soon developed a reputation and following, through Lorraine’s unique style of teaching blending yoga, pilates, cardio and strength, making classes challenging but still accessible to all levels.

COVID 19 brought many challenges to Yogabodi as the doors were forced to close in March 2020. A challenging time and year that also brought the perfect opportunity to move to larger premises and bring the YOXA FIT concept (co-founded with Lorraine’s daughter, Liana) to life.

 

 The YOXA FIT Studio aims to provide members with a space to cater to all physical and mental health needs. Rest and restore with a calming yoga class, build strength during yoga with weights or strength training class or feel fully empowered after a fast paced Cardio Boxing or Power Yoga class. Whatever your body and mind needs, we've got it covered.

 FOUNDERS

Lorraine has a wealth of experience in health and wellness. She has practiced yoga for 28 years and Qualified as a Yoga teacher 11 years ago. Lorraine is also a Holistic Therapist, Health & Wellness coach and Oxygen Advantage Instructor. Lorraine loves to create unique classes combining different modalities to offer students challenging and engaging classes building strength and resilience on and off the mat.


Liana is an extremely passionate teacher and loves working on new concepts for health and wellness. With a particular interest in how fitness affects mental health, Liana is constantly adding more arrows to her bow. Liana qualified as a Boxing for Fitness instructor in 2019, she then went onto to become a Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Inspired Teacher, and recently qualified as a Personal Trainer. Liana has loved creating the Yoxa Fit Studio alongside Lorraine. As a teacher, Liana is encouraging and motivational and strives for students to leave feeling empowered, having done better and improved upon the session before.
